What is Mingo?

🦩 Mingo is the first AI-powered delegation companion for busy executives.

When an executive delegates a new task, Mingo ensures optimal execution by:

Proactively seeking clarification through follow-up questions to align with the executive's expectations.
Succinctly summarizing essential details and outlining the subsequent steps.
Recommending efficiency-boosting shortcuts and best practices to empower the executive assistant.

What does Mingo do?

When initiating a new task within the Double app, Mingo steps in to:

Prompt you with pertinent follow-up questions, ensuring a clear understanding of your task.
Concisely outline your instructions and preferences.
Offer valuable suggestions to your assistant, optimizing the initial steps for maximum efficiency."

How does it work?

When you create a task for your Double, Mingo will ask up to 2 sets of follow-up questions, specific to the task title or your first message sent in the chat, to help clarify the task for the assistant.

  - Mingo will activate each time you create a new Task in the Double web app.
  - Mingo will send up to 5 messages per Task , and expect you and your assistant to continue the conversation from there.
  - Both you and your assistant can chat with Mingo, but Mingo may not always know to whom your messages are addressed.
  - Mingo will not initiate conversations automatically in tasks that were pre-existing within a workspace prior to Mingo's activation.
  - Mingo won’t replace the work your assistant can do for you, but it can make suggestions on how to get started and share best practices.
When enough information has been gathered on a task, Mingo will post a summary message to the chat, which is stored in a special summary tab in each task. This summary is visible to both you and your assistant.
At the same time a summary is generated, Mingo will send a set of suggestions to your assistant.

What can I do if Mingo isn’t useful on a particular task?

When a task is relatively straightforward, and not much context gathering is needed, either you or your Double can snooze the tool.

You can easily snooze or awaken Mingo at any time. You can do this in two places: after Mingo’s first message, or in the Mingo menu (look for the Flamingo icon in your chat message box).
For teams, if Mingo is snoozed by one user for a specific task, it automatically extends to snooze Mingo for all other users within that task.
It's important to note that snoozing Mingo on one task won't affect its performance in new tasks created thereafter. Snoozing operates on a per-task basis, ensuring that Mingo's notifications align with your preferences.

Can I turn the feature off completely?

Yes. To disable Mingo, navigate to the "Settings" section of the Double app and select "Integrations." There, you'll see Mingo and have the option to toggle it on or off with a simple click.

Please note: If Mingo is deactivated within the workspace after being previously enabled, the messages posted by Mingo during its active period will remain intact within the chat. (Rest assured, they will not disappear. 🙂)

What kind of tasks is Mingo capable of handling?

Mingo works best when tackling complex tasks and projects characterized by multiple intricate steps. Some examples might include:

Initiating a new job opening.
Commencing an insurance claim process.
Orchestrating a trip for a sizable group.
Facilitating the onboarding of new employees within the organization.

Mingo’s follow-up questions and suggestions will be more relevant when it has more description to work from.

Is my personal data safe when I’m using Mingo?

Mingo was built using OpenAI. OpenAI does not use data submitted to and generated by our API to train OpenAI models or improve OpenAI’s service offering. You can click here for more information

Mingo is an included feature with your Double plan!
