👥 Shared Tasks is a powerful feature in Double that enhances team collaboration by allowing you to add teammates to tasks to share updates and provide feedback all in one place. Improve productivity by eliminating the need for separate communication channels.
Who has access to the Shared Tasks feature?
Shared Tasks are available to executives on the Build, Scale, and Enterprise Pricing plans. If you are not currently on the Teams Pricing plan, Invite a teammate on the app or reach out to [email protected] to discuss upgrading your plan and unlocking this feature.
What are the benefits of using Shared Tasks?

Private Task Delegation: You can still delegate personal tasks privately to your dedicated EA while collaborating with your team on shared tasks, maintaining confidentiality and seamless execution.
How do I create a shared task?
To create a task, click the ➕ icon. To share a task, click “Add a collaborator”.
All executives on a task and their Doubles have equal permissions to update a task status, due date, chat, and edit additional details.
When a task is created, all parties assigned to it should be able to view it in the monthly usage report. However, please keep in mind that a shared task can only be removed by either the team lead or the Double. That task cannot be removed by collaborators or the Doubles of the collaborators.
How do I add a teammate’s Double to my task?
To share a task with another Double on your team, assign it to the executive of that Double.
Can I share a project?
Sharing is not currently available for projects. If a task is in a project, it can be shared.
Who gets notifications?
All collaborators on a task will receive notifications for the shared task. You can edit your notifications in Settings.
Will shared tasks be supported on the iOS and Slack apps?
Shared tasks will be supported on the iOS and Slack apps. You will be unable to create new shared tasks or add collaborators but if a shared tasks already exists you will be able to receive and send chat messages for this task.
