The subtle way

When you don't feel like sending the other person to your double directly, this template can work wonders. Just pick 1 time in your calendar and let your double handle the rest of the conversation if it doesn't work out.

Could you do next Thursday at 4? If not, please let me know — `Name`, my double, can take the next steps to find a time that works for both of us.

The short way

Adding `Name` to find a time that works next week.

The 1-second way

Depending on you do things, this template might only be adapted to people you are closest with or don't know at all / are asking you a favor. Simply forward any scheduling request to your double and let them introduce themselves in the thread directly.

The other person would receive something like this:

Hi Sam, I'm `Double`, `X`'s double. I'd love to help both of you find some time to meet next week. These are a couple of times that are open on her side: ... Please let me know if any of these work for you.

The secret way

If you have email delegation

💡 Using templates

  • In Gmail, create a draft then use the ... menu in the Send bar to transform it into a template. Alternatively, use an extension like Streak.

  • In Superhuman, you can easily create a snippet by using CMD + K and then selecting snippets.
